I was born and raised in Stayton, Oregon, the famed green bean capital of the world. After leaving this urban epicenter of the modern world, I attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, one of the most respected photography schools in the country. While at Brooks I immersed myself in the world of photography and studied the photographic styles of many great photographers.
After my graduation in 1992, I relocated to Eugene, and have been a commercial photographer ever since. After twelve years as a co-owner of PhotOregon, I was excited to join with Imagine Graphics in February 2009 and became Lead Photographer in our new Photography Division, Imagine Photographics.
One of the things I enjoy about being a photographer is the collaboration with art directors and clients. My first priority is to listen to what they’re asking for and make sure I’m giving them exactly what they want. Sometimes, after we’ve accomplished that, we take the opportunity to move the image one step further. Inevitably we deliver images that provide even more options!
Basically, I consider myself pretty blessed to have a profession that allows me to be behind a camera every day of my life, meeting fascinating people, and experiencing thrills most will never experience! In my spare time, I’m an avid home theater fan and love to tinker with my cars in the garage.
